It's very important that you include the Dominican community in your project. Many of the new residents in the neigbhorhood are trying to exclude or squeeze these people. I hope that people are mindful that the Dominicans of Washington Heights and Inwood are
1. the majority in the neigbhorhood 2. long time residents
and perhaps most importantly 3. people that lived through the tough times in the neigbhorhood and came together to fight against the drugs and crime that plagued the community. Many times the last item mentioned is ignored and many want to say that it is the newer residents that have wiped out drugs.

Inclusion is important. As a resident of the East Side of Broadway we see the real deal every day up close and personal. It's about accountability. What do we own? We should aspire to own our accountability. Not throw litter. Not deal drugs. Not loiter. Not play in fire hydrants (the number one urban killer of kids). Not blare our music at 3am. Match age chronology with maturity. We saw your theater project in "The Manhattan Times". Congrats. Between you and that http://www.thrillumentary.com guy also featured in the "Times" the community has a great future.
